Buying RAM, servers and company IT

Your retired IT may still be worth money.

We buy reusable memory, servers and complete company inventories in Switzerland. You do not need to know models or specifications: a quantity, a few photos or a rough list is enough. We assess individually and reply personally with an offer.

The process

From request to payout

1

Describe your stock

Tell us what sits in storage, in your own words. Photos of labels help; no expertise needed.

2

Personal assessment

We review your details and get back with questions or an individual offer.

3

Agree the shipping

After you accept, we arrange transport. Packing notes are on the shipping page.

4

Inspection and payout

On arrival we inspect the goods. Payment follows the accepted offer.

What we specialise in

Reusable hardware with market value

01

RAM first

DDR4, DDR5, ECC, RDIMM and LRDIMM are our focus – single modules or large lots.

02

Servers and systems

We assess servers with installed memory, as a whole or by component.

03

Company inventories

Retired IT from offices, data centres or schools: mixed lots are explicitly welcome.

04

A personal offer, not a price list

We do not publish prices. Every request is reviewed individually and answered with a free, personal offer.

05

For businesses

VAT and documentation for business sellers are clarified in the offer.

06

Tell us about storage drives

Does your inventory include hard drives or SSDs? Let us know so we can clarify stored-data handling before the handover.

Sell it instead of letting it sit

Reusable hardware can still be worth money. Enquire without obligation. For larger quantities we pay more: an individual overall offer based on model, quantity and condition.

Our focus

RAM, servers with RAM and company inventories

Ecobro specialises in hardware that can be used again. Every lot is assessed individually. CPUs are part of it too, but come second.

What we are looking for

  • DDR4, DDR5, ECC, RDIMM and LRDIMM
  • Servers with RAM and CPUs installed
  • Company inventories from rollouts and migrations
  • Server CPUs and workstation hardware
  • DDR3 and older hardware after individual review
  • Small quantities from private sellers

Typical situations

  • Retired servers
  • Leftovers after an upgrade
  • Surplus spare parts
  • Closing down a site

What affects value

We deliberately do not quote flat prices. These points decide how an offer turns out:

Model and type
Exact designation rather than a broad category.
Quantity
Single pieces and larger stock are both welcome.
Condition
Tested, untested, defective: please be honest.
Market
Prices change; offers are individual.

How to submit your stock

Photos and an approximate quantity are enough to start. The more precise the details, the more concrete the offer.

  • PhotosModule labels, server type plates or an overview of the pallet.
  • QuantityNumber of pieces per model or type, an estimate is fine.
  • ConditionTested, untested, known faults, missing parts.

Inventory list (optional): a CSV or Excel file with model, quantity and condition speeds up the assessment of larger stock. It is voluntary.

The process, step by step

  1. RequestYou send photos, quantity and, if you like, a list.
  2. OfferWe review your details and make an individual offer. No price is guaranteed in advance.
  3. AcceptanceOnly once you accept the offer do we continue. Nothing is shipped before that.
  4. Transport by agreementShipping or, for larger stock, a handover is arranged individually.
  5. Check and paymentOn arrival we check the goods against the offer. Payment follows the check according to the accepted offer; any deviation is discussed with you first.

Timing and amounts depend on the case and are set out in the offer.

Data carriers and privacy

RAM modules do not store files persistently. For memory alone the data question does not arise.

Hard drives and SSDs in servers, PCs or laptops can be removed and kept, erased by you before transfer, or handed over by agreement. We record this before transport.

We do not promise certified data erasure. If you need a specific procedure or proof, we clarify beforehand whether that is possible.

What we are not aiming to buy

We look for reusable hardware with market value. Empty racks and cabinets, cable collections and material that could only be recovered by weight are not our buying target. Not every request leads to an offer.

Frequently asked questions

Questions about selling your IT hardware

Which hardware do you buy?+

The focus is RAM (DDR4, DDR5, ECC, RDIMM, LRDIMM), servers with RAM installed and company inventories. CPUs and other business hardware are possible too. DDR3 and older devices are reviewed individually.

Can I sell as a private person?+

Yes. Single modules or small quantities can be offered too. Whether an offer results depends on type and condition.

How does a sale work?+

You send photos, quantity and, if you like, a list. We make an individual offer. After you accept, transport is agreed, then we check the goods and pay according to the accepted offer.

What happens to data on hard drives and SSDs?+

RAM does not store files persistently. You can remove and keep drives, erase them yourself or hand them over by agreement. We do not promise certified erasure.

Do you guarantee prices or deadlines?+

No. Each offer is made individually based on model, quantity, condition and market. Prices and timing are set out in the offer.

Do you also buy empty racks or pure e-waste?+

No, that is not our buying target. We look for reusable hardware with market value.

What is sitting in your storage?

Describe it the way you know it. We clarify the rest with you. The request is non-binding.
