SSD or HDD — which is worth more?
SSDs usually fetch higher prices than classic hard drives of the same capacity, especially high-capacity NVMe models. With HDDs, capacity and condition matter most; enterprise drives from servers are often more sought after than older desktop drives. Are you selling a whole computer including its drives? Where can I sell used hard drives or SSDs?+
You can offer your drives directly through the Ecobro form. Send us the type (HDD, SATA SSD, NVMe), capacity, manufacturer, quantity and condition. You will receive a personal reply with an offer.
Do I have to delete my data before selling?+
You can delete the data yourself, but you do not have to. Ecobro wipes all drives received using recognised methods (including NIST 800-88) and issues a deletion certificate on request.
Do you also buy defective hard drives?+
You can offer defective drives. Whether a purchase is possible depends on the type, capacity and quantity. Drives that cannot be reused are recycled properly.
Which drives does Ecobro buy?+
Internal HDDs (3.5" and 2.5"), SATA and NVMe SSDs, external hard drives as well as server and enterprise drives. Larger stocks from company closures are also welcome.
